Broadacres Community Action Day, Leyburn.

We are lucky to live and work in beautiful North Yorkshire, but living here comes with different challenges, especially for those living in our rural homes and communities.

In 2024 we continued to support and invest in the communities where we work and in the 7,000 customer homes we manage.

Our customers’ homes have a value of £450m, and this year we spent over £15m improving the quality and energy efficiency of homes.

We employ over 430 colleagues, including 16 apprentices and we continue to invest in training and qualifications for our local workforce including 150 people within property maintenance and a further 150 supporting our customers in the community.

Wherever possible we use local businesses and suppliers, spent £7.6m on these services within the geographic footprint of our homes.

In 2025 we will be contributing to our corporate goals to:

  • build 1,000 quality new homes by 2028
  • deliver our Decent Homes Plus Standard across the area
  • improving the energy efficiency of all our customer’s homes to a minimum SAP C standard by 2028
  • deliver homes that are affordable to live in.
