Broadacres Community Action Day, Northallerton.

Community Action Days are dedicated to supporting our customers by working in partnership with agencies to deliver services right into the heart of our great communities. Prior to each event we work with customers to understand their priorities and concerns and we use this information to shape the event.

We have competed 6 Action days so far, covering Northallerton, Romanby, Brompton and surrounding villages, Bedale, Aiskew, Leeming and surrounding villages, Thirsk and Sowerby and surrounding villages, Easingwold and surrounding villages, Scarborough, Whitby, Redcar and surrounding villages and Richmond, Catterick, Leyburn and the Dales.

A further 3 are planned for 2024, covering Selby and surrounding villages, Stokesley, Great Ayton and surrounding villages, Malton, Pickering, Norton and surrounding villages.

The last 5 events have seen us reach over 2,127 customers with 694 customers providing feedback about their local community, home and experience. Below are some of the thing’s our customers have shared with us:

  • 93% said they feel safe or very safe in their home.
  • 97% said they knew how to contact us if they needed support.
  • 89% said they knew how to contact their local policing team.
  • 22% said they would like some support or advice from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
