A fund which supports local organisations, groups, and projects in communities where Broadacres has homes continues it grow from strength to strength.

Our Community Development Fund provides awards of up to £500 for schemes which benefit the local community, with all grants being approved by our own residents.

The latest batch of awards include:

  • Richmondshire Rugby Club received £500 to buy new strips for its veterans’ team.
  • Northallerton Men’s Shed received £500 to buy an industrial heater for its venue in the town which enables both men and women topass on their skills which include wood and metal working, computing, electronics and cookery.
  • Hovingham Community Playground received £400 to put towards the cost of buying grass cutting equipment for this well-used community facility between Malton and Helmsley.
  • Together, Engage, Encourage, Support (TEES) received £500 to buy care packs for families and individuals who use the charity’s services.
  • East Riding Pipe Band received £500 to buy bagpipe covers for its members.

Awards from the Community Development Fund are determined every 12 months.
